Vote Will Determine the Future of America

In this defining moment in our history, your vote will determine the future of America. While you may think it is an overstatement, it is not. Do you like what you see playing out, almost daily, on the national political stage in clear view for us all to see? Is this the America you are proud of?

There is no making excuses for the President, Senators, or Representatives for not doing what is in the best interest of the country and its citizenry. In the words of the late John Lewis, it is time to get in good trouble. He also said when we see something that is not right, or going in the wrong direction, do something.

My fellow Americans, we must stand and do something. We must get to the polls, one way or another, and vote on November 3rd. We must vote for who we want to represent us in the White House, in the United States Senate, and in the House of Representatives. We must also vote in the state, city, and other local elections. Your vote will determine the future of America.

The 2020 Presidential Election may be the most consequential in our lifetime. It requires that we vote in unprecedented numbers. It is easy to look at the lies, misrepresentations, and divisiveness spewed by some, and the silence and cowardice of others and say, “What’s the use?” But, we cannot afford to have that attitude.

The United States is a democratic Republic, once the strongest in the world. We now find ourselves in a slippery place. More than ever, we need to stand for the values, rights, and honorable principles and practices that have sustained us. While America is not perfect, we want to continue to work to make it better. Now is not the time to let the ugly side of America prevail. Your vote will determine the future of America.

Do you like what you see occurring? What do you want for the future of your country, city, state, community, family? America the beautiful? Or, America the ugly? Yes. You have a decision to make. Will you vote? Your vote, or no vote will determine the future of America.

This is our time to change the course of the history of America. Will you stand and be counted?

America needs all of us to stand together to stop the discord and divisiveness that is growing. America needs us to stop the racism and violence. America needs us to demand that our elected official uphold our Constitution, our values, our rights, and our institutions.

All we need to do is vote, and hold those whom we vote for accountable. Your vote will determine the future of America. VOTE. Do not bail out. Bail America out of this declining and destructive moment. The future of the quality of your life depends on it.
